Jewellery Care

At J.ish project, we have always used 18k gold vermeil in our jewellery pieces.

To ensure the longevity of your gold plated jewellery, we recommend following these care instructions:

- Remove your jewellery before swimming, exercising, or coming into contact with perfume, chlorine, or nail polish. These substances can cause chemical reactions that may tarnish or damage the gold plating.

- When not wearing your gold plated jewellery, store it in a plastic bag. Squeeze out excess air from the bag before sealing it. This will help minimize exposure to oxygen and keep your jewellery bright and shiny. We advise placing only one piece of jewellery per bag to prevent scratching.

- If you regularly use perfume or cologne, apply it to your body before putting on your gold plated jewellery. Sprays can potentially contaminate the metal, leading to blemishes or stains.

- For gold-plated stainless steel jewellery, avoid showering with it and clean it gently using a soft cloth. Storing it in a sealed bag will also help prevent tarnishing over time.
